Business Scholars

Participation in the Plaza College Business Scholars Program is a premier opportunity that offers high school students interested in a career in business an introduction to the Business Administration A.A.S. degree.

Not only do participating students experience the excitement of college life, they take college level courses with our distinguished faculty, have access to collegiate-level resources, and enjoy an unforgettable semester (or semesters)!

Participating students will receive:

  • An opportunity to participate in an early college enrollment program to gain a major head start on completing their college degree program.
  • An inside look into what it takes to be a part of the business field with classes that are actually part of the Business Administration associate’s degree program.  During the junior year of high school, scholars can expect to take 3 credits in a liberal arts course.  During the senior year of high school, scholars can expect to take up to 12 credits in core business courses like Business Concepts.*
  • An accelerated degree completion plan that will allow students to earn their Business Administration A.A.S. degree in 12 months and their bachelor’s degree in an additional 15 months after HS Graduation – shortening the time to graduation by up to 1 year!
  • Reduced college costs by utilizing the free 15 earned credits (¼ of the total program) and Plaza’s exclusive Business Scholars Scholarship.

In order to apply to participate:

  • If your High School already participates in the program, please notify the administrator in charge of the program at your school.  If you do not know who the appropriate administrator is, please contact your Guidance or Principal’s office.
  • If your High School does not yet participate in the program, please send an email to info@plazacollege.edu with your name, email address, phone number, your graduation year, and the name of your High School.  Don’t forget to include that you’re interested in participating in the Business Scholars Program!
  • The application process will be complete once you fill out your application, write an admissions essay, and get some teacher recommendations. All applications must be submitted six weeks prior to the start of the next semester to be considered.
  • All applicants will be notified of their acceptance status by mail.
