Career Services Offers Government Jobs Workshop

July 7, 2017

On June 29, the US Department of Justice visited Plaza College to discuss entry-level opportunities for all majors. Officer Teddy Moreira, Senior Officer for the Special Housing Unit, hosted a table in the Commons providing details about jobs available and basic requirements.

During College Hour, Associate Director of Career Services Regina Pokidaylo offered a presentation about how to land a New York City government job. Officer Moreira also answered students’ questions about working for the federal government and provided insight on positions from Accounting Technician to Dental Hygienist to Computer Specialist. More than 40 students signed up to receive additional information from the Department of Justice.

If you missed the presentations, there is still time! For more information about positions in New York City government, visit http://www1.nyc.gov/jobs/index.page. For federal government opportunities, students should start an account on www.usajobs.gov.

For more information, students are also encouraged to visit Career Services on the third floor!
