Plaza College Current Students

Clubs and Organizations

The College encourages all students to enhance their college experience at Plaza with membership in the many clubs and organizations represented on campus.

Plaza College Alumni Association - The College encourages all graduates to continue to maintain ties with Plaza through the Alumni Association, which sponsors various events throughout the year.  For information concerning the Association, visit our “Alumni” page or contact the Director of Alumni Relations.

Student Affairs Committee - The Student Affairs Committee is constituted by students, faculty and staff. The committee reviews policies concerning all aspects of student-run programs and assists in the development of new activities. As official sponsors of Plaza College's Health and Wellness Program, the primary goal of the committee is to regularly host events for the academic, social, and physical well-being of our students. Members may also serve on the Judicial Board of the Academic Standards Committee. The committee also serves as a source for student members of disciplinary hearings when necessary.

Membership requires a minimum GPA of 2.75, recommendation from at least one faculty member, and a minimum of two consecutive semesters at Plaza. For more information, contact Committee Moderator Melissa Tortora at (718)-779-1430, Extension 7134.

Ambassador’s Club - Established to focus on the idea of community service to the population-at-large, the Ambassador’s Club acts to forward the College’s goal of life-long learning and to service the on-campus, alumni, Jackson Heights, Queens, and New York state communities.  Students of all levels are encouraged to participate in club activities.  Students participating in the Ambassador Club act as true school ambassadors, working as Orientation Assistants and mentors, Professional Development Seminar participants, Alumni Association and graduation event hosts and hostesses, and participants in the many fundraising activities on and off our college campus.  Participating students are recognized with the Citizenship Award at the June graduation ceremonies. For more information concerning the Club, contact Dean Lin Loffert.
