Graduation Information

Graduation vs. Commencement

Upon completion of all program requirements, students are eligible for graduation from Plaza College. Students may graduate during their last semester of their program (Fall – December, Winter – April, Spring – August), but there is only one Commencement Ceremony per year.

The 2024 Commencement Ceremony will be held at the Kupferberg Center at Queens College on:

Friday, June 28, 2024 at 8:30 am

If you finished or will be finishing your program during one of the following semesters, you are eligible to petition to participate in this year’s commencement exercises:

Fall 2023   ●   Winter 2024   ●   Spring 2024

Please note that the Kupferberg Center has its own outlined COVID-19 Safety Protocols upon which all attendees must abide. Plaza College has no authority over these protocols and cannot grant any exceptions. Plaza College reserves the right to enforce any additional protocols of its own based upon local transmission rates and safety guidelines, and graduates will be informed of such prior to ceremony.

Petition to Graduate

The Petition to Graduate is your official request to graduate from your program, initiating a review of the completion of program requirements and approval of the conferral of your degree.  All students, whether attending the graduation ceremony or not, must fill out the petition in order to officially graduate and receive a diploma.  (We will share this Google Form to update in a separate email.)

*Please note that submission of the petition does not guarantee eligibility to graduate.  Petitions submitted for students who have not completed all program requirements, fail requirements for which they are currently enrolled, or fail to register for or complete the Spring semester will be denied.
