Sigma Kappa Delta invites students, faculty, staff, and administrators to join us for Plaza’s third annual Multicultural Thanksgiving Feast on Tuesday, November 21. A delicious collection of food and desserts from cultures around the world will be offered from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the Commons. Inspirational words will be offered at noon and 5:45 p.m.
Would you like to help? We will be taking donations of hot food, desserts, and drinks as well as silverware, napkins, plates, and cups. We also need volunteers to set up and serve food, so please sign up at the Student Life office for either or both.
On Tuesday, we welcome everyone to join us and make a donation for a plate of food. All donations will go to Winter Wishes. Plaza is participating in the Winter Wishes project for the first time this year under the leadership of Ms. Cindy McMahon from our Legal Studies department. The project provides letters from children, teenagers, and seniors across the city who request a specific gift for the holidays.
Although it is our first year participating, members of the Plaza community have already claimed all of the wish letters. Thank you to all of our amazing donors! We are also purchasing new winter coats for all of the children ages 4-7 who wrote letters. All proceeds from Thanksgiving will go toward the coats. Please see Ms. McMahon in Admissions if you would like to donate a new coat.
