On Sunday, September 17, Plaza College’s team will participate in the 2017 CaringKind Alzheimer’s Walk of Queens. Students and families are welcome to join faculty and staff for the event by registering to walk here.
The Plaza team will meet at Flushing Meadows Park at 8:30 a.m., and the walk will be over by noon. If you would like to join us, please register online or stop by the Student Life office on the Commons this week to sign up.
If you are not able to attend, feel free to make a donation. Our goal is to raise $500. If you would like to contribute, simply click here – no donation is too small!
According to the CaringKind website, “Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States and the impact on caregivers continues to increase exponentially year and after year… By joining the fight, you are helping CaringKind, The Heart of Alzheimer’s Caregiving, to provide free information, assistance, and support for those with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, as well as for their family members, caregivers and professionals.”
