What made you want to attend Plaza College? The idea that I could get my GED while earning college credits. I thought this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

What were you doing prior to enrolling in Plaza College? Before coming to Plaza College, I was working full time in a warehouse in Manhattan.

Biggest obstacle you have had to overcome while being at Plaza College: The biggest obstacle that I have had while being in Plaza is to find out a job out there with flexible hours so I could keep coming to school regularly. I had to change many jobs while being here at Plaza, but that did not make me stop coming to school.

First memory of Plaza College: My first memory from Plaza College was not necessarily here on campus but outside. I was trying to get some help from the Federal Government at one of those places where they help you find a job and obtain unemployment benefits. It turned out that the person who was helping me get my health insurance was a graduate of Plaza. I knew it because of the ring he was wearing; after talking about the college, he told me that his graduation picture was in the admission office. The next day I came to class,  and I went to check for the picture, and there it was! It just encouraged me to keep coming and take my education seriously. Now, I want my graduation picture on the wall at Plaza as well!

The key to your success at Plaza so far: A long time ago, one of my uncles told me that in life I will need three very important things to get whatever I wanted: persistence, consistency, and discipline. Now, I am applying what he told me, and I think it is really working for me.

Hobbies: Reading, dancing, playing video games and listening to music.

Most important goal in life right now: My biggest goal in life for now is to complete this program and to become a RN after graduation.

Finish this sentence: To me, Plaza College is:  another big step that will lead me to achieve the career of my dreams.

What his professors have to say about him: “He is very professional in demeanor and always willing to help colleagues whenever approached. His intellectual capacity and attention to detail will carry him a long way in the medical profession.” Dr. Darryl Anderson
