Evelyn Cabrera
Major: Business Administration
Semester: 2
G.P.A.: 3.88
What made you want to attend Plaza College? I came to Plaza College to get the best understanding of Business Administration, to prepare myself to face the business world.
What were you doing prior to enrolling in Plaza College? I was unemployed.
Biggest obstacle you have had to overcome while being at Plaza College: I was nervous and scared that I wouldn’t be able to make it. What made me overcome this was being strong, having faith in myself, and listening to all my wonderful professors telling me, “You can do it!”
Most rewarding experience at Plaza so far: My G.P.A.
The key to your success at Plaza so far: My key to success so far has been studying hard and paying close attention in class. I managed to keep my G.P.A. high by coming every day to class, never being late, and keeping up with all my assignments.
Advice for new students to Plaza: Don’t be nervous. Always have faith in yourself. If you need help in any subject, there is always a professor in the Learning Center to help you. Don’t be afraid to go in and ask for help. Your attendance means and counts a lot.
Most important goal in life right now: My biggest goal right now is to finish my Associate’s and go into my Bachelor’s. I see myself working and being the vice-president or president of a big company.
What would you say to students who are considering attending Plaza? It’s the best school you could attend. The classes are small. The professors pay more attention to their students. They really prepare you to go out there and face the business world.
What her academic advisor has to say about her: “Quite often, Evelyn is the first student to arrive at Plaza College – sometimes she even arrives before the administration and faculty. This speaks to her unyielding dedication to her education and her love of Plaza College. After only one semester, she has already shown that she has the drive and intellect to be one of our most accomplished students. I can’t wait to see where she goes!” Professor Jonathan Howle
