Full-Time

Principal Faculty roles for the developing Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS)
program, reporting to the Program Director, will be instrumental in developing and implementing every
aspect of the MSPAS Program. In addition to course instruction in both the didactic and clinical phases
of the program, faculty members will be actively involved in multiple facets of the program, including
curriculum and course development, course administration, admissions, accreditation, and programmatic
assessment and analysis.

The Principal Faculty members will join the Plaza College MSPAS program team as a non-tenure track at
the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (commensurate with experience), and it is a full-time
position. We seek an accomplished professional who is passionate about the PA profession, PA education,
mentorship, and possesses innovative thinking skills. There will be the opportunity for faculty to focus on
the pre-clinical and clinical aspects of the PA Program as it develops, based on programmatic needs and
faculty preferences. This is a full-time, 12-month/year, primarily on-site/in-person position.

Qualified applicants will hold a minimum of a master’s degree, with a doctoral degree preferred. They
must be a graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program and hold current certification
by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensure in New
York State. A minimum of three (3) years of clinical practice experience is required and prior teaching
experience in the clinical setting or classroom setting is strongly preferred. Salary will be commensurate
with qualifications and experience, estimated at $115,000 – $140,000 per year.

Qualified applicants should submit their CV and a letter of interest indicating their interest in the position,
qualifications, and teaching philosophy to btravis@plazacollege.edu.

The 24-month MSPAS Program, with 12-month didactic and 12-month clinical phases, is currently in the
process of seeking Accreditation Review Commission for the Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-
PA) provisional accreditation and is anticipating its first cohort to matriculate in 2027.
