On June 2, 2011, Plaza College hosted an elegant dinner and ceremony for the Class of 2011 at Terrace on the Park in the Penthouse.

This event, called the Graduate Awards Ceremony, consisted of a delicious sit-down dinner for graduates and their families and an Awards Ceremony, which recognized students for their academic and extracurricular achievements. Over 100 students earned High Honors and special awards. Dean Thomas Tolan was the emcee for the ceremony.

Three graduates were also selected to deliver messages during the ceremony. Lawanna Dean was the Keynote Speaker for the evening. Jason Whitaker offered the opening remarks, and Elizabeth Rodriguez offered the closing remarks. All of their speeches can be found in this edition of Seasons in the section “The Writer’s Well.”

All graduates, staff, faculty, and administration thank the Callahan family for their incredible generosity, which made the evening sublime.
